Verified invitation

A verified invitation is an official document that serves as a basis for granting visas to third-country nationals. It is issued by the Foreign Police on the basis of a request by a natural or legal person who invites a foreign national to the territory of the Slovak Republic.

A request for a verified invitation is submitted to the Foreign Police Department competent according to the place of residence of the inviting person (or the registered office of the company). The Foreign Police Department of the Police Force will decide on the verification of the invitation within 15 days of receipt of the request.

Important notice

A verified invitation does not automatically guarantee the granting of a visa. The visa is decided exclusively by the Slovak embassy abroad on the basis of complete documentation and an individual assessment of the case.
